Topics

The rapid diffusion of Internet networks favors the development of new online, merchant or non merchant services in many different sectors/domains: information, communication, education, cultural industries, health, trading, public services, … The focus is therefore shifted from access to emerging issues of innovative services and diffusion of usages. The Conference is aiming at analyzing emerging conditions and development models of these services within organizations and markets.

The Conference will focus on:

  • The diverse networks that will be able to provide these online services (optic fibre, wireline, wireless, cable, satellite …) and on competition/complementarities between these networks.
  • The elaboration of online contents and services: upstream changes of organizational models, downstream changes of business models, offer, content protection issues, and willingness to accept new services.
  • Latent needs and the uses: reducing uncertainty and complexity, learning prerequisites, and interactions between producers and users.
